Covering Equestrian Games of the World.
There are eight events in the upcoming World Equestrian games. I thought I would take a post or so for each them, but a brief explanation will be included in this post. For most folks that are involved in equestrian activities of any sort and especially these kind of competitions it is old hat, but for those only casually interesting this is some good information on what to see for each of the events coming up.
Getting going with this site in more earnest, starting out with some general information about some goings on here in Kentucky. We just had the Rolex Three Day Event along with Keeneland and move right into the Kentucky Derby this coming weekend. Without further delay, let me get to a short list of things.
At some point I had a great idea and found a wonderful way to marry several of my interest into one blog with details out the wazoo. However, after getting a great URL it stalled for a long while as some life happened and I pursued other options. Then I made a single post intended to get cranked up with that post, but a week into blogging for other sites, I fell off the radar with this one and never got started, much less any traction. Interesting thing happened though between now and then…
So I set this up sometime over the summer, even worked on getting some of the functionality and correct look later in the summer. Since then I have been in the mode of I would get to this as the next thing. And now it has set idle for far too long. So, I am using the idea of NaBloPoMo as a motivator to get this blog up and running. The basic theme is about equine games, with an obvious slant toward the FEI World Equestrian Games coming to Lexington Kentucky in the fall of 2010. However, it is not limited to just the equestrian games that FEI sanctions, as indeed there are thousands of other equestrian based games.
